Lucky me, lucky you

A few weeks ago, I received this lovely scarf from a friend that I met through this blog.  It is beautiful and special, since I have never met this person, yet they chose something that suits me perfectly.  A big thanks to you, I love it!!

I love all the wonderful comments and emails that I have received from so many of  you!  I cannot tell you how encouraging it is.  So since I will be celebrating a birthday in a few days, I am feeling thankful and very grateful.  Lucky you!  I will be giving away a new copy of  Amy Butler’s In Stitches book, it’s a beautiful book, and a remnant piece of Michael Millers Escape fabric, there are seven boxes left from the original panel that had 8.

If you would like to a chance to receive these goodies, along with whatever other things I decided to throw in the package, then all you have to do is leave a comment here.  Tell me something fun…or that you love…or even something that you would like to see more of on this blog.  I look forward to hearing from you!!   You have until next Monday the 2oth!!

  1. I love your posts, they inspire me! I sew a lot for my daughter and am always looking for fun new ideas and tutorials. Have a very Happy Birthday!

  2. Today marks the anniversary of the week I learned to sew, one year ago. My life has really changed since then, becoming much richer, bringing more satisfaction and contentment. To think, I only wanted to be able to hem a skirt or sew a pair of panel curtains! Since then, with the help of hip and inspiring bloggers like you, I have made bags, baby quilts, skirts, even a lovely fitted dress! I wish I had started years ago, but so glad that it’s never to late to learn. Thanks for all the FREE!support you give to us sewers out here….all the tutorials, the humility, the openness and humor – it makes all the difference. I’m passing it on to anyone around me who wants to learn.

  3. Oh Kara I hope you have a wonderful birthday! You are such a wonderful and creative person. I miss hanging out and learning from you. I must say you and B inspired me to try to be creative, and now anytime I tackle a project I wish you were close by to answer all my silly questions. Tonight I started on G’s mermaid costume. I may be calling. 🙂 Love you girl and have a splended birthday!

  4. Oh, what I love is my 2 grandchildren. They are such a joy (3 and 1/2) and soooo funny!! My granddaughter even says that she’s funny!! How does she know that? I love sewing for them and would love to add this book to my collection!

    Happy, Happy Birthday to you!

  5. Your blog is so inspiring…I can’t wait for the arrival of my first little one so that I can start dressing her up in homemade goodies!

  6. I love all the little girl dresses and skirts. I’ve just started sewing again and would like to try making some for my three daughters! Your tutorials look so simple and easy to follow… thanks for sharing them 🙂

  7. I think that you are pretty awesome to be so generous on your birthday…but wait that is how you are all the time GENEROUS! I am so blessed to have you and your family in my life and my families lives. You inspire me with many creative things, you teach me, you talk to me when we are in the trenches of motherhood together… but most importantly you are my friend. Looking forward to sharing your b-day at DD with you and your little lady!

  8. I love the clothes I’ve made from your wonderful tutorials. My daughter wore her skirt yesterday and got several compliments 🙂 And I love pie – I’ve got one in the oven right now – so yummy! Happy (early) birthday!

  9. You are so inspiring and talented! Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful ideas!! I would love the chance to win – it would really make my day!! I just decided today that my daughter and I are going to learn to make headbands and other things and open up an Etsy shop together. She is 11 and just learned how to crochet and is loving it. I am very inspired today! 🙂 Have a fun day!!

  10. How nice to get an unexpected gift in the mail! And amazingly, it can be even more satisfying to be the sender of the surprise gift and to know it made their day! Sometimes it’s the little things, huh?
    Thanks for the blog!

  11. I have been studying your bubble skirt tutorial and will probably try my hand at it this week!

By the way, Virgo’s ROCK! I celebrated my birthday yesterday!
